​Our 2026 conference has provided a show case for local community action across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. It has reviewed the themes of:

• Buildings and Energy

• Nature

• Food

• Sustainable Transport

• Community Energy

• Building a zero-waste future

 

Each theme has identified key asks for local and national government which if addressed can inspire and accelerate community actions for the environment.

This is the concluding event for the conference, and it will review the findings from our events before challenging locally elected representatives and community leaders to help address the issues identified. The meeting will adopt a Question Time style format, and there will be opportunities for members of the audience to ask questions.

The panel participants will include: Julia Buckley MP (Lab), Matthew Green (Lib Dem), Councillor Carolyn Healy (Lab), Councillor Duncan Kerr (Green), Kate Mayne (NFU Chairperson).
